I loved it hereHotel Hastal is a romantic, centrally located hotel right in the center of the Prague Old Town. I heard from friends that Prague gets a lot of tourists so I was worried about being around too many people, but the moment that I walked in to the reception I knew that I must have picked one the best places to stay in Prague. I don't like crowds, but this hotel is somehow in a quiet part of the city, while being right at the central square and the river. There is a lovely backyard patio that is comfortable, quiet, and private. A literal oasis for someone like me, I decided to read one of my books and the receptionist noticed I was sitting in the sun, so without me asking, he brought me a pitcher of ice water! The staff is so friendly and accommodating, I will definitely be back to hotel Hastal next time I come to Prague. I really felt cared for, safe, and overall I think its a really great value. x

The perfect blend, 10/10I will attempt to keep this brief, lest I ramble on and on about the splendor and luxury of this hotel, by submitting this simple photograph which illustrates my experience. The hallways beg the soul to recall the opulence and romantic aesthetics of the Victorian era, and improves upon it with the modern amenity of air conditioning, a luxury our ancestors could only dream of. I was instantly transported into the past by the charm of this hotel and then brought back to the present, having noticed that the hallway and our room for that matter, maintain a comfortable 22 degrees Celsius despite the heatwave outside. For an accommodating hotel boasting a central location, look no further than Hotel Hastal, which surely must be one of the best hotels in the Old Town known to locals as the Staré Město.

Family-run, for families, best hotel, 5*Wow! Where to begin? I actually heard of this hotel from our friends who stayed here last year, we were so jealous of that romantic atmosphere and the luxury that we just do not get in America, that we had to go and see it for ourselves. We made our reservations directly with the hotel who answered all of my questions and gave us a great value rate. When we got there, we met the receptionist who was actually the son of the owner of the hotel, so not only is it actually family-run but we found out the hotel has been in their family for almost 300 years! My husband and I were blown away by the story of the hotel, how helpful and attentive the staff is, and we got such a nice room for such a good price and the location is perfect. Breakfast was great, a diverse buffet, there was coffee and tea 24/7 for free and little cakes we could get for free too from the lobby. This hotel is special, we'll be talking about it for ever!

Its the little thingsI have to say right away that the location of this hotel is fantastic, has to be one of the best in Prague. Not only is it at the Old Town Square, by the river, and possessing great public transit connections, but the whole area around the hotel is quiet. Now the interior is impressive: it is luxurious and romantic, and has an art deco kind of vibe that I find rare and precious. But any hotel should look nice, that's the standard, but when I got into the room I was pleasantly surprised to see so many free amenities. There is a welcome drink, and the staff even left a little bon bon with a hand written note thanking me for choosing the hotel. They didn't have to do that! The room had a great view and I slept like I was at home. This is one of the best hotels in Prague, and I travel here often for work and pleasure.

The hotel to chooseMy family is Jewish, we live in New York, but we know that our ancestors came from Prague. We chose this hotel because not only is it centrally located, but its actually in the old Jewish quarter. We knew right away that the hotel leans into that when the elevator door opened and we saw this statue of the Golem right by the stairs, it made me laugh because I remember my grandmother telling me stories about that character so I knew right away that this is really a family-friendly hotel. We got into the room which was air conditioned, it has a great view, and my wife and I knew we would be comfortable here enjoying the romantic scene. Receptionists are super helpful, they pointed us in the right direction, and even told us we could use the great public transit connection at the hotel to get to Franz Kafka's grave. Its an awesome hotel! By far one of the best hotels and for a great value.
